Clean old operational data using the site retention settings.
Housekeeping removes data which the site no longer needs to keep indefinitely, such as old autosaves or completed job history.
Review retention first
Check the configured retention periods before running cleanup. Longer retention uses more storage but can make investigation and recovery easier.
Use the built-in action
Prefer Housekeeping over manually deleting data files or database rows. The built-in process understands which records are safe to remove.
Back up before broad cleanup
Take a suitable backup before a large cleanup if the data may matter for audit, recovery or migration.
