Connect WordPress Importer

Connect Micro CMS WordPress Importer to a prepared WordPress source.

WordPress Importer runs from Micro CMS and uses the temporary Migration Bridge token created on the source WordPress site.

Open the importer

In Micro CMS, open the WordPress Importer from the Extensions/Importer area. If it is not available, install or enable the approved WordPress Importer release first.

Connection details

  1. Enter the normal public WordPress site URL.
  2. Paste the Bridge token created under WordPress Tools → Micro CMS Bridge.
  3. Choose the imported publication state. Import everything as draft is the safer starting choice for most migrations.
  4. Save/connect, then start source analysis.

If the connection redirects

Use the canonical WordPress address shown by the source site. For example, if www redirects to the non-www address, connect directly to the final address instead of the redirecting one.

If the token expires

Generate a new token in WordPress, update the active connection and analyse again. Do not keep increasing token lifetime simply to avoid finishing the migration properly.
