Database migration

Move supported standalone site data to MySQL or MariaDB using the built-in migration and verification workflow.

The built-in migration screen lets a standalone site copy supported data to MySQL or MariaDB and check the result before the site starts using the new database.

Before you start

Create a suitable backup and make sure the destination database is empty. Have the database host, name, username and password ready.

Migration steps

  1. Open Site Settings → Database migration.
  2. Choose MySQL or MariaDB.
  3. Select the data groups you want to move.
  4. Enter the destination database details.
  5. Choose Test selected connections.
  6. Choose Migrate selected stores.
  7. Review the verification results and resolve any failures.
  8. Choose Verify again & switch selected drivers only when every selected item passes.

Why the final verification matters

The final check confirms that the copied data still matches what Micro CMS expects before it changes the active database setting. If verification fails, leave the current database selected and resolve the reported problem first.

After switching

Open Site Health, browse several public pages and test the main Admin areas before removing your old database or backup.
