Updates
Configure signed update sources and understand what happens before Core, Extension or Resource Pack changes go live.
Use Updates to check trusted release sources, review available versions and apply supported Core, Extension and Resource Pack updates.
Configure an update source
Open Updates → Update Sources and add the release source supplied for your deployment. Micro CMS checks the authenticity and integrity of supported update packages before installation.
Default policy
The normal default is Notify only. Choose a different policy only when you are comfortable with how that site should receive updates.
Core updates
Start Core updates from the Updates screen and allow the process to finish. Micro CMS creates the required recovery protection before changing the installed release.
Extension updates
Extension updates are checked before installation. If an update requests additional permissions, review that change before allowing it.
Resource Pack updates
A newer Resource Pack goes into the normal Pack Library for review. If a packaged Resource has been edited locally, Micro CMS asks what you want to keep instead of silently replacing it.
Channels
Use Stable for normal sites. Beta and Development channels are intended for testing newer releases before they are promoted to Stable.
