Site Design
Set shared colours, typography, widths, content defaults, archive layouts and authenticated controls.
Site Design controls the shared visual settings used by compatible first-party themes and Resource Packs.
Widths & Spacing
Use Default site width for the normal layout width. Content width controls the main reading column and Wide width gives selected layouts more room. Page gutter sets the minimum side space and Section spacing controls the gap between major sections.
Full-width content controls how far full-width sections may extend. Sidebar position and Sidebar content apply when the selected layout uses a Sidebar.
Page & Post Defaults
Choose the normal width and whether titles, featured media, author/date/read time, Categories and Tags, sharing and author cards are shown. Individual content can still use its own supported presentation choices.
Profile Menu
Enable Show Authenticated Profile Menu when signed-in CMS users should have the profile control in a compatible public Header. First-party Advanced and Documentation Headers support this setting.
Archive defaults
Archive settings control the normal presentation for lists such as Posts, Categories, Tags, Collections and Search results. Options include layout, columns, image ratio, excerpt length, items per page and loading behaviour.
Design-specific controls
Some Designs add a small number of extra layout choices to Site Design. These appear alongside the standard settings so the site can still be managed from one place.
Saving changes
Choose Save Site Design, then preview the public site at desktop and mobile widths after changing typography, widths or Header controls.
