Choose what to migrate

Review the WordPress source by type and include only the content you intend to keep.

Source analysis is the review stage. Use it to decide what belongs in the new Micro CMS site before writing anything to the destination.

Filter by type

Review Pages, Posts, Media, Categories, Tags, Navigation and other supported types separately. This makes a large source much easier to understand.

Watch the destination

If Micro CMS reports that an intended public address is already used, resolve that conflict before importing the source item. Do not delete good destination content just to clear a warning.

Preview important content

Use Preview on representative Pages and Posts, especially long articles, image-heavy content and anything with unusual WordPress formatting.

Include Media deliberately

Media can be the slowest part of a large migration. Include the files used by selected content and keep Background Jobs running while the migration continues.

Move in stages

You do not need to import the entire source in one pass. Complete one reviewed group, verify it, then analyse again for the next group where that gives you a safer migration.
